The netTAP 151 Gateway bidirectionally transmits IO signals between any two Real-Time Ethernet networks.
It is ideal for systems based on different protocols or for connecting two networks of the same type with limited topology. Offering up to 25 different communication combinations based on PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, POWERLINK, Modbus TCP and Sercos protocols, it provides a solution for a huge spectrum of data exchange scenarios.
Secure network separation is provided through the use of two Ethernet controllers, each of which has two ports with an integrated switch. This makes it possible to create a star, ring or line topology without additional components like switches. The two controllers handle protocols independently of each other by exchanging data with a memory buffer. Total processing times of less than 10 milliseconds can be achieved.
Devices can be ordered with or without loaded firmware and master license. Unloaded devices allow reducing the cost of storing multiple executions, later uploading the appropriate firmware will prepare the device for operation in any configuration. The devices are commissioned and configured independently of the network via Ethernet or via USB.
