Mini PCI Express is the successor to the mini PCI format offering increased data transfer capacity. The network interface on the cable enables flexible integration into compact IPCs and embedded systems. Utilizing x1 technology and based on the Hilscher SoC netX 100 chip, the cards find application in industrial master and slave communication systems with multiple protocols and real-time Ethernet systems. Thanks to the MD1 format, the cards are easy to integrate into IPCs.
Like all Hilscher PC cards, the mini PCI Express version has a uniform user interface for all protocols and formats. A wide range of drivers makes the PC cards easy to integrate. Data is accessed via dual-port memory or direct memory access. Mini PCI Express cards are optionally available as 2-port cards. The slot number can be conveniently changed with a rotary switch. The PCI cards are designed to operate in an extended temperature range of up to 70°C.
