Mini PCI Express is the successor to the mini PCI form factor, offering increased data throughput. The in-line network interface enables flexible integration into compact IPC computers and embedded systems. Using x1 technology and based on the Hilscher NetX 100 SoC, the cards are used in multi-protocol and real-time Ethernet master and slave industrial communication systems.
Like all Hilscher PC cards, the mini PCI Express version has a uniform user interface for all protocols and formats. A wide range of drivers makes the PC cards easy to integrate. Data is accessed using dual-port memory or direct memory access. Mini PCI Express cards are optionally available with integrated NVRAM and as 2-channel cards. The version with M12 connectors for Real-Time Ethernet systems enables increased protection and the realization of protection classes up to IP67 in applications with harsh operating conditions.
